Toureen Group awarded with The Irish Post Building Britain Award
Toureen Group has won The Irish Post Building Britain Award 2019 in recognition for its success as an Irish organisation operating in the UK.
The Irish Post Awards is an annual event which was created to celebrate the Irish diaspora’s impact and enduring contribution to Britain and the world as we know it. Presented by Eamonn Holmes and Aoife Ni Thuairisg from the 'Great Room' in The Grosvenor House Hotel, London; a host of stars lit up the red carpet on the night. Stars such as Colm Meaney, Piers Morgan, Boy George and Sharon Shannon were in attendance as the Irish community came together from all corners of the British Isles to celebrate.
The Building Britain Award is a unique way of showcasing Irish-owned or Irish-founded companies in Britain who have shown demonstrable success and achievement in their field. Several Toureen Group members and their families attended the gala event, including Denis Nolan (Chairman/Founder) and Daniel Nolan (Director) who graciously accepted the award presented by Invennt Ltd Managing Director, Brendan Morohan. Daniel Nolan accepted the award on behalf of the Group and commended the workforce, past and present, who made the achievement possible;
“Today, we really want to thank the people that both work for us now and also the many hundreds of workers who have worked for us that have now returned to Ireland or retired over the last 25 years, we want to sincerely thank them too.”
Toureen Group has attributed its growing success to the hard work and dedication of all current and past employees, with many coming from Ireland throughout the years. Without them, it believes that such an achievement would not have been possible and has dedicated The Irish Post Building Britain Award to them.
