Scope of works

 

  • Following on from the successful completion of a new anaerobic digestion plant in Baldock, Toureen Contractors Ltd was appointed as principal contractor to carry out the construction of a further new anaerobic digestion plant facility in Merevale, Warwickshire. The £4.2 million project was constructed in a disused shale quarry and involved the installation of 9000 metres of steel tube piling for foundations and reinforced concrete foundations, bases for the steel tanks and to create a fully bunded area with reinforced concrete walls and slabs.

  • Groundworks including cut and fill, foundations to all tanks and new building, reinforced concrete walls and slabs to create bunded area and external yards, flood defence gate, new drainage and services installations

  • Steel framed building with external cladding and roofing, brickwork, pre-cast concrete walls, insulated panel up and over doors with full mechanical and electrical services to the accommodation block and site wide external lighting and CCTV facilities
